Manchester airport was more than OKAY when we went to Munich in December.

The krauts were taking the pi$$ at passport control. By the time got through ours were the only bags on the carousel.

Lufthansa were shockingly bad but we were through Manchester Airport on our return complete with bags within 30 minutes tops.

To summarise, the krauts are punishing us Brits for Brexit airport wise, Manchester Airport looks like its got it $hit together at last and Mrs BT is plotting more European trips, which is fine by me.

Covid is not mentioned. It now appears it was not that much of a threat after all.

Thanks for that mon ami, our passports have run out and I'm pondering whether to renew them or not. I'm too old to be fecked about by jobsworths in the travel industry any more.

If it's walking on the banks of the Coquet near Warkworth, the beach at Alnmouth, the prom at Sheringham, a trip to Holt on the North Norfolk Railway, a day out in Arundel or a security queue at Manchester Airport and three hours wedged into a sardine tin with wings, I know which I'm going for.

Agree to an extent sinkov, but our travel itinerary this year aims to get the best of both worlds:
London in February. (Half-term trip with youngest grandson).
    Spain in March. (Nerja/Granada bound).
North east in May. (Hope to finally catch up with Supersub6).
Isle of Man in July. (Mrs BT wants to relive her youth).
Wales in August. (Family holiday 8 of us going!)
Ancona/Split in September. (To be confirmed, ferry to book).
Tenerife in December (booked to be away at Christmas).

Mrs BT also wants to squeeze in a trip to the US but I'm not up for that, too many guns attached to eejits for my liking now.

Anyway that's our new policy, after trying Munich again, I'm now up for a little European adventure.
