Notts78 a very good point. I hope all Notts fans that were going to tonight's game, or if it had been payed tomorrow, will now get a refund and watch the game by stream when it is eventually played. Solihull deserve to be hit in the pocket. Clearly not interested in playing the game while going through such a poor run of form.

We'll hopefully be top again by Saturday though.
And with a bit of luck Quevin Castro will do the business tonight.

Wrexham have to go to Gateshead.

Gateshead are not doing well in the league table, but looking at their home form they have drawn with Notts, Solihull, Barnet, and beaten Southend, so not an easy place to go by the looks of it.

I fancy Chesterfield to batter Altrincham though.

It’s the ref that makes the decision?

Ya not about today. It’s about the fact Notts asked to play tomorrow (yesterday) when it was felt more likely the game would go ahead. Solihull refused.

Correct, clubs can’t postpone games, only a qualified ref can do that. But clubs can ‘manage’ the situation. Chesterfield apparently had five players missing through illness, so ‘accidentally’ leaving part of the pitch unprotected might be in their interest. Likewise, Solihull have a lot of injuries and are in an awful run of form, so not making much effort for tonight’s game may benefit them in the long term. All conjecture of course, but Solihull’s refusal to play tomorrow does leave a nasty taste.

I didn't say Solihull had postponed the game, I was agreeing with Notts78's suggestion that Notts fans do not travel to the rearranged game but buy the stream instead to hit Solihull in the pocket. Thanks anyway EP for pointing out that clubs can affect decisions made by the ref when it comes to postponing games. Who'd of thunk it.

The same Chesterfield pitch that is deemed playable tonight despite ongoing freezing conditions. Sorry but the National League is a joke.

7 degrees in Chesterfield today to be fair.
