The Handsome Family have done a fair few murder ballads and it's Rennie, the female half of the band, who write the lyrics.

Take ‘Delilah’ out of circulation if you must; but you should remove - and disapprove of - about 30% of all rap and similar songs of the last ten years to be consistent.

Sorry, but this is a complete straw man argument.

I can only speak for myself, but I like Delilah as a song. I listen to and have enjoyed many songs of many genres with far more offensive and violent lyrics.

I hold no judgement or disapprobation for people liking any music on my part.

The difference here is, I wouldn't expect many of those songs I enjoy to make it onto a playlist in a stadium. However, it also wouldn't surprise me at all if many of them have. I'm sure I've heard many Eminem songs I enjoy with quite violent lyrics played in a public setting.

The only difference here is, that if I heard that an Eminem song had been removed from a playlist at some random stadium, I'd probably think to myself "fair enough", and then literally not give a sh*t, and then get on with my life.

Some boomers just love to be fed outrage over total non-events by the media, and then accuse everyone else of being sheep. Baa.

Pretty much agree with all that post but I don't think you help yourself by repeatedly using a term like 'boomers' in what's clearly a derogatory manner. It's on a par with calling somebody a snowflake. It's sinking to a level that you're trying to be above.

Not bad until the last paragraph. There you go again classing a generation as boomers. What should we class you as? Don’t tempt me.

No problem with the term boomers, nor gammon for that matter. It’s quite amusing that john2 thinks it’s a phrase that insults folks on this board

    Playground stuff really

Based simply on your online persona Grist I'm assuming you've been called much worse, on many occasions.

By the way, you never answered when the club announced they were changing it to 'player of the match'? I couldn't find it anywhere.

You'd never stoop to that level would you Grist? You're not a sheep...

There are a lot more offensive songs in the world than this one,I`m pretty sure the WRU are just trying to deflect the attention away from the real problem,a pop song from the 60`s isn`t going to make any brain dead bloke batter his wife.
But this is the perfect "What is world coming to ?" thread for many on here,we`re up to page 8 already.

    Good point.

Criticism over women's rugby and the " not very well thought out" implications of omly tackling below the waist.
