I stand corrected ref my comments on the gender of God! There are, in fact, plenty of references in the Bible that indicate that God was both, at times, male and female. Both Genesis and Isaiah give examples where woman is said to be "made in the image of God" and also described as like a woman in Labour and then comforting her children. In the parochial societies of the time the use of the "he" pronoun would have been the one most commonly used but, in fact, there is plenty of "evidence" in the Bible to support the concept of God as being gender-neutral.

As for the anti-gay sentiments in the 3 Abrahamic religions which all derive from the story of Lot, many scholars think that God was not so much angered by the ***ual aspect of the population of Solem who wanted to rape the male angels, but rather angered by their disregard for the concept of hospitality (which Lot had offered them). The idea of hospitality was-and remains-a key part of the Jewish faith. Religious texts are often quite strange enough as they are but the different ways in which they can be interpreted can be very dangerous.

Each to there own...I will still call or say "Mother Nature and or Father Time." I am not (as you may have guessed) a politically correct type of person. Nor do I generally go around upsetting people by calling them names that they don't want to be called by.
All that said, I have a brutal memory for people's names and always had. Playing under age 11s football was when it became obvious to me.
I kept calling for the ball but not getting it because I could never remember my team mates names...EVEN AT UNDER 11S.

So now everybody is either brother or sister to me and anybody can go feck off if that upsets them, they,it or whatever.

😁 I'm terrible at remembering names too Dubbs -and it's only getting embarrasingly worse as I get older! The classic is all the people I meet when I'm walking the dog and I've known most of them years but whilst I'm always forgetting their names I can always remember the name of their dogs! 🤔

I personally don’t believe in a god, however if I did, by definition he or she couldn’t be a he or a she, god being god wouldn’t have a gender or parents or need another god to make more gods or sons/daughters of god in its image.
