As an impact sub I think he would be useful. Was that not the case vs Sunderland away? And the short time he played before getting injured vs Middlesbrough away? In those games he looked good and was a threat (scored vs Sunderland).

For me - still looks unfit - does not hold the ball up - wins very few headers - slow - does not help the other players! Very predictable with his feet and easy for other players to read!
Asante cost 300,000 from Salford FFS and looks twice the player!
Huge disappointment for me and about the standard of the MLS - poor!

I said last night that for me, Asante is the starter out of this pair.
To have all the physical attributes that Dike has would’ve been a dream for me personally, why are some of these types do lacklustre!?
Have to admit that Asante looks a much better option to Dike at present. He looks sharper, quicker and more mobile. Whether he is not 100% fit, I don’t know, but certainly he hasn’t lived up to his reputation to date. Let’s hope that he comes good in the future. With the exception of Asante, we haven’t covered ourselves in glory in recruiting strikers for quite a while now.
Think we all agree that Asante should start rather than Dike. BTA shows far more energy and movement and causes the other teams problems which Dike does not. Agree with baggieal though that Dike still doesn't seem fully fit as he does show glimpses of what he is capable of. To be fair he got little to no service last night as a target man but the difference between him (or Grant) and Asante is that BTA will put himself about far more to try and create chances. Like Leics, hope Dike comes good -but it needs to be sooner rather than later. For the moment BTA must start and maybe Dike may have more of an impact coming on as a sub?
In the summer we need to look at strikers such as Mullin at Wrexham, we need a front man in that type of mould.......the Lee Hughes, Jamie Vardy type who not only play on the shoulder of the last man but whom are always a constant pain in the a r s e with their hassling of defenders.
It’s so irritating watching players like Dike and Diangana waiting for the ball to come right into their feet rather than attacking the ball and making dynamic runs.
He looks to me like he has spent to much time in the gym while he has been out, he looks very bulky and is struggling to carry it around the pitch, where as Asante looks far leaner and more mobile and always on the move, they obviously feel the only way to get Dike fit is to play him from the start.
I think he is built like an American football player. But at this moment, I think he is still not match fit but getting there. But agree he looks very bulky and may have lost some pace with work in the gym while he was out of the game.
Hopefully, he will prove a handful in time.
We don’t have the time, we need all the players to be at 100% for the whole time that they are on the pitch; Thomas-Asante looks far more dangerous than Dike and should be one of the first names on the team sheet. I am disappointed with Dike, I expected him to pose much more of a threat and I see him as a Geoff Horsfield type of player, except that he’s not as good as the Horse was.
