We only have 4 matches in the next 6 weeks so I would imagine that is the sort of timeframe they are looking at, then get someone in for the final 9 matches, to finish as high as we can in the league and to assess the squad in time for the next transfer window given we are going to lose 8 players on loan plus another 6 players who are out of contract
Latest club statement.. Much ado about nothing.
The chairman has provided the following update for supporters on the recruitment of a new manager:
“Aberdeen FC’s recruitment for a new manager is progressing with potential candidates being considered against the detailed criteria and philosophy the Club has set out.
“There has been a high level of interest as well as some unfounded speculation. It is ***** that we carry out the necessary diligence in drawing up a short-list before embarking on any serious talks or interviews.
“Alan Burrows, who starts as chief executive on 27th February, will be involved in the next steps. It’s important that we take our time and be patient.
“In the meantime, Barry Robson, supported by Steve Agnew and Scott Anderson, will continue to lead the first team and they are wholly focused on preparations for Saturday’s match.”
Just checked….He was 70 when he was our boss.
