Yip, get out there and play with no fear like MacLeod does. Too many of that lot are scared to put a foot wrong and do something different on a Saturday afternoon.

Doesn’t help when managers simply follow a coaching manual these days….. oh for old school football where players played with their ability

I liked the Kirkwood team when we were in the 1st division. The front four were McLaren, McSwegan, Brewster and Winters. Oh, how I would like something of that in the United team today. As it is we are pedestrian and lucky to have one shot on target in a game. You wonder why fans are disillusioned between the offering on the pitch to the constant bs bingo pedalled by our Sporting Director.

…and we had Owen Coyle in the mix too!
We then signed Kjell Oloffson and the other Scandinavian contingent which for the next couple of seasons continued our potent threat upfront. The demise started after they all left, until Sir Craig & Peter came in.

With all the injuries and suspensions we look very light today

The good spell at Christmas and early Jan had most of those missing in good form
