Patrick Roberts, we should have shown him down the line because all he did was cut inside. Yes, good player, ex Man city

What a tremendous performance from all concerned, much improved from Saturday. I left NYS on Saturday convinced we were
destined for Division 1 again, but more games like this one and we will survive.
The side was set up better and we were deservedly ahead at half time with a lovely goal from Basil, hold out for 15 minutes in the second half and see off their pressure, but no we go on and score a lovely goal from a brilliant move.
Effort and skill was different class from Saturday, tactics too so well done to the Managemnt team as well.
Johansson. Must be the best keeper in the league, a stunning save from Pritchard in the first half and came out effectively and bravely several times.
Peltier. Good game and carried on the good work when he went inside, still think he leaves his man too much when he's at right back.
Hall. Tremendous game again, we look far better when he is in the side, i hope he is fit for Monday.
Humphreys. This lad is total class, however have we managed to get him as a permanent signing, fast, reads the game well and has so much skill.
Hjelde. What a player this lad will be, he is already utter class, read the game well and attacked with effect.
Ogbene. So glad he didn't go in the window, he is such a threat opposing defenders just can't handle him, Come on Chieo sign another contract.
Coventry. His best game for us yet.
Fosu. As others have said probably MOM, for me it was him or Humphreys, looks like he has lost the ball but still comes out with it. Lovely pass for Fergusons goal.
Ferhuson. Class footballer took the goal so well, was well knacked when he went off.
Rathbone. Seems to have stepped up a class, is it the fact he is now the captain, or the freedom given to him be his new role a little higher up the pitch, or maybe coming out of the shadow of Barlaser and Wiles, Whatever it is it has made a good , tenacious player into a very good even more tenacious player.
Hugill. Worked hard but didn't seem to be getting anywhere, he certainly got no help from the officials.
All, the subs came on and contributed, pity Washingtons shot didn't go in. Nice to see Lindsay back on the pitch and doing what he does well, and Odoffin looked comfotable at the back.
Yet again we were treated to an exhibition of refereeing incompetance, how could that not have been a penalty on Hugill. It absolutly stinks the way it seems there is a conspiracy against our club. Fortunately it didn't cost us today.

What a game and result. More like a Cup tie, pity Sky wasn't showing it.

How can we be so different from Sat v Coventry? Thought Fosu in a midfield role was a good move, and rewarded him with 2 assists.

Worrying again with 2 defenders going down again, though Peltier wasn't too happy coming off.

Great from MT puting 2 attackers on, instead of defenders, to stop their CH from coming forwards all the time. Brave decision.

Screaming for Cheio to go for goal when their goalie stayed up. It either goes in, game over, or wastes 30 secs.

If we'd drawn both games we'd have been happy but now a point better off, just win the 1st one to keep the blood pressure down.

Well done all. Humpreys looked shattered when he came in the lounge after. Well done lad.

Sensational night. Took me back to night matches at Millmoor which always seemed to be special. Leo's first half performance was the best I have seen at left back for decades! I thought Sunderland were a better team than Coventry but our approach and effort would have caused any Championship side problems. Final crowning glory, Mighty Quinn to finish off the evening - as I said - sensational!!

Their lot are spitting feathers with that disallowed goal at the end.

No mention of the blatant penalty we should have had.

Their manager did give us some credit in the post match interview but it took him all his time not to say “we should be beating teams like Rotherham”.

I actually forecast a 3-2 win for us on Super 6 because I was more confident of beating them than Coventry. We will always have a chance against a team like Sunderland as they have (unlike) Coventry, a soft underbelly.

Shame some of these players aren’t ours
Yes whilst at match I was on about how Rathbone seems to be playing better football
Yes I also was talking about Officials, definitely upset them or they just have the small club syndrome can’t really complain about WS Lino last night though

Well done to the management team for how they set up last night.
Especially the first half & an impressive high intensity performance from all the players including the substitutes.
First half save that Viktor made was top notch - that one was heading for the top corner.

Made a difference playing Fosu deeper & Rathbone further forward.
Best game so far re Conor Coventry (my MotM)
Good to see Jamie Lindsay involved.
Shows what can be achieved when they're all on their game & not chasing the game.

Sunderland played their part as well.
Well done to Yak for getting the 2-1 scoreline correct & others that predicted a win.

Onwards & upwards - survival is in our own hands.
