    Insurance quotes

My car insurance is up next month so I thought that would ask my insurer how much it would be to renew it,I will check the operator said, yes it's £269,nah your all right I replied,I will look elsewhere and can you cancel my insurance when it's up next month, without even asking and quick as a flash he said that he's just checked and could do it for £189,why didn't you quote me that first I asked, well I've just looked to get you a better deal,it was bloody milliseconds between me saying No and the other price being quoted and tbh I would have taken it if he was straight from the start

There's always someone trying to chuffing well rip you off in this world and that's from the AA a respectable company

I had stuck with the same car insurer for a few years and it was going up and up so I had a look around and got it for exactly half the price of the original insurer with green flag thrown in. I wish I could do that for camera insurance which is now double the price of my car insurance, arrghh!!

Use an insurance broker. When renewal time is approaching the broker will check the entire market of insurance companies.

Someone knows this is a sore point…

Mine has gone up £300… I have tried compare sites & those that don’t & can’t get it much cheaper. I have 25+ years protected no claims & a clean licence..

I rang Admiral Multi Car the other day to find out why & it’s because of my new car.. The Disco is a lot more expensive than the F Pace was & it has Gap insurance for the first 12 months so if it is nicked or written off I get a new one instead of depreciated market value… it’s catch 22.. drop the cover & take the risk or….

For the few days it snows we need AWD or 4x4 because of where we live… tbh Griff.. “Miss” BDB (to be… &#128512 works from home, I can WFH when I want to.. the only good thing to come out of Covid is our enhanced agile working policy…

For me, it’s not the car as had a BMW 3 series from 1999 in various forms (company / personal).. problem is has a really bad car crash in Turkey with the kids in the car… an artic type lorry clipped the back of the car I was driving & it lost control completely & ended up with it T Boning us best part of 500 - 800 meters up the dual carriageway.. when we came to a stop the driver / passenger doors were that badly smashed as the post in the middle & damage was that bad, windows smashed in (airbags did not go off for some reason??)…

Thankfully we all got out the other side & not a scratch on any of us.. what happened with the rental company is another story 🤬…

One thing I will say is where we were the people in the town where it happened near Side were without question.. we were shaken, water, blankets, anything you need .. Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulances the full hit…

I lost my confidence a while later in a big way.. maybe delayed shock but outside lane & foot down went.. I now prefer the higher driving position, that to me is more important 👍
