The SNP politicians think that an independent Scotland can rejoin the EU as a new country. They will need to use the Greek Government’s creative accounting methods to get their budget deficit down to 3% of GDP to qualify to join the EU and the Euro. Joining the Euro is an ultimate requisite of joining the EU.
An independent Scotland would not be able to use all the EU opt outs obtained by Maggie Thatcher from the EU such as only 5% VAT charged on domestic electricity, gas and heating oil bills instead of the 20% VAT charged on electricity, gas and heating oil bills for businesses.
Then there is the other problem with changing the clocks which the EU Parliament voted in favour of on 19th December 2019 but they have yet to implement because as usual they did not do their homework before voting in favour of it.

The SNP politicians wanted the people of Scotland to vote in favour of independence and then they would make up the rules afterwards.
That is a non starter even for the three stooges standing for leadership of the SNP and appointment as the First Minister.
The Spanish Government would object to an independent Scotland joining the EU as it would open the door for the Catalan region of Spain to demand an independence referendum.
Missed the debate about the new SNP leader. did anyone follow it?
Usual nationalist conspiracy theory guff.
Press are against us, get UN involved, declare UDI, set up a new currency in 3 months etc etc.
Phuckin moonhowlers.
Didn’t get to see the baying mob spitting, hurling abuse and generally making a show of themselves. I thought there would be as that’s what happened at the Tory ones in Scotland.
