Sideways - Backwards - Playing from Back

Was there last night! All this complete bollox of passing sideways - passing backwards - playing out from the back. It’s never going to work with bang average players. That first goal was the result of passing it out which invites pressure. Griffiths gives me a heart attack when he passes it out.

All this tippy tappy passing and zero quality to produce any magic! Oh for a Pereira!!! Molumby a work horse he may be but the guy has no quality whatsoever. Townsend and Furlong are average ( at best ) championship players so it certainly does not work with prattling about with the ball - every time they get caught! O’Shea too small and on many occasions a liability!

Dike can’t even hold the ball up and for a big chap contributes very little. I would go for Asante every time over him!

TGH showed far more energy in 10 minutes than most players all match. Why?

Albrighton and Chalaba both poor and no wonder they were let go!

Only bit of quality is Grady who was missed but we all know he’s totally inconsistent!

Left on the 80th minute and surprised how I stayed that long!

Just like watching England faff about, it’s boring with little end product, watching Blackburn v Sheff Utd, totally different to us no faffing about, plenty of energy, both teams look a threat

100% agree with these comments. Whilst I understand the theory regarding ‘inviting pressure to create attacking openings’ given the overall quality of our players, in practice it continues to cost us. Extremely frustrating to watch.

We’re missing your mate Bartley at the back Paul.

His comfort and vision on the ball is always a massive plus.

Don't forget that we absolutely played them off the park yesterday in the first 20 minutes. IF we had a lethal striker which we haven't had for decades now we would take the league by storm, and I firmly believe that if we had had Carlos from the start this season we wouldn't be having any of these discussions right now.

The travelling support last night wouldn’t agree Boingy we played a very poor Hull side off the park in the first 20 minutes! Would agree we dominated possession though which consisted of sideways - backwards and sideways football. Where was the creativity! Where was the magic? Where were the chances?

Possession means zilch without creativity or quality!
