Thread: A mid table championship club punching above it's weight.

That's a strange one Mickd1966 - nobody rates Phillips but always chosen by CC and our performance much better when he plays - just as you say - very good defensively imo. Be interesting to see who stays beyond this season as quite a few coming to end of contracts .Think everyone on a big contract will be gone and not sure who else deserves to be kept? Love Wallace and his attitude; Yoko is a class act; Welcome your views??/

If we accept that we are a mid table club (True of a club with no ambition, which has fitted for a while now) then we won’t be disappointed if we don’t make the play offs. So relax and enjoy some football without the stress.

I agree Boingy but easier said than done. Still feel very let down by a bad performance as have done throughout my life. Don't mind losing to a better team but can't stand when players 'don't leave it all on the pitch!!! Always gave it my all whichever sport I played - football, cricket, rugby badminton etc. No point in turning up otherwise never mind being paid a fortune for playing - unbelievable!!

Totally agree! Even bottom of the table championship sides give 100% and put their heart and soul into matches - look at Derby last year who fought like tigers!

The point is our players go missing - don’t give 100% every game and have no heart!

All those who were at Hull including myself can accept defeat but not playing without a fight or turning up which happened also against Blues. Hull and Blues are awful sides - ask their fans!!

Hull supporters singing last night - how s hit you must be for us to win at home! The Hull black forward never stopped running and trying to out muscle our defenders. Did Dike???

Incidentally this was the verdict from the Hull city Boss last night :
“I think Burnley and West Brom are the two best teams in the league. I think they’ve still got a really good chance of the play-offs.”

Yes I fully agree with your comments Baggieal You guys have travelled away with hope and passion and the players don't turn up or want to get involved in the battle which is what the Championship is all about. going to be a massive clear-out with new guys who will do as CC requires - just hope he and his team can spot the players we need. Not very impressed with the 2 we have just brought in. Not done anything worth their significant wages imo

Sounds like he was taking the p1ss, if he thinks we are that good he needs to go to spec savers, league table doesn’t lie, we have a team with hearts as big as peas. I feel sorry for the travelling fans who pay hard earned cash to watch these pathetic posers

I have to admit that it’s a strange comment. While I can accept that we’re half decent on our day, to put us on a par with Burnley is stretching it a bit, if not a lot!
