Surely also better to wait until May - Prem football, possible small increase, Relegation no increase. Being informed of having to pay more for a poorer standard of anything, not that appealing.

So the club splashes out £150m+ on players who have collectively and individually failed to prevent us from dropping into the relegation battle again, and yet they are prepared to lift LUFC ST prices in order to raise a paltry £1.25m? (Based on 25000 ST holders, £450/ST, * 10%, all very "prudent, I would suggest).

Here's a better idea, all playing staff, all members of the executive, all coaching staff with "Manager" or "Head of", in their job title take a 10% pay cut to support the club in furtherance of its "principle of running the club’s finances responsibly", rather than fleecing the supporters, again!? (And I'd wager that would raise a f00king sight more than £1.25m!)

The increase will only kick in if we avoid relegation.
Have a degree of sympathy for the club as their input costs will have gone up - utilities/staff/goods etc - a fair amount and there weren’t stupid increases when we got to the prem.
Hard though as times are tough for supporters too.
Timing not ideal but suspect renewals are being sent out so they have to announce it now.
"If Leeds does not maintain its Premier League status, supporters will be able to claim a rebate of the 10% increase", so supporters will have to pay the increased ST price ahead of any conclusion of the relegation issue, then go through some process to get that 10% back, how much of a dogs breakfast is that?
And why a "degree of sympathy"?
We have a board who are paid a kings ransom, a sacked manager who walked away with a hell of a lot more compo that this increase will raise, players who have failed to perform and earn even a small percentage of the other kings ransom they are paid.
The club could, if they were minded to do so, trim their costs by adopting the suggestion I made in the opening post, which I'm absolutely certain would reduce costs by more than the £1.25m the ST increase will generate. Not a one-off "contribution" that would then have to be matched in future years by bigger ST price increases, a 10% cut, borne by all those I mentioned, to be made up only when the club is able to afford to do so, and maintain its principle of "running the clubs finances responsibly". (And those who would be affected wouldn't even notice).
And the chance of such a sign from the club of solidarity with a fan base that has been kicked in the crutch so many times and yet still remains loyal to LUFC? Nil.

I really hope that Leeds supporters have to worry about a season ticket increase!
There are more games in the Championship...
(Gets coat. Renews ST)
At least I will get more games for my money next season. Being a shift worker I personally think it's ****e renewing so early not knowing if the fixtures are going to be kind
