I record MOTD but fast forward to see the action only. I will not listen to Lineker or any of his now specially invited guests. People used to complain about Wolstenholme, but in those days you saw far more action.

The fast forward button is a real plus for MOTD mate, I must agree with you on that.

Since Hansen retired it’s been pointless listening to punditry.

What a surprise that most people on here, who all read the Daily Mail, dislike Lineker.

Put him in the same box with the EU, BBC, Megan Markle, Immigrants, Civil Servants etc....

It never ceases to amaze me what a daft, gullible nation of people we are.

This is what the Tax man is trying to close this loop.
    Any credible source for this?

Or is this another doseage of Daily Mail?

What amazing insight you have, knowing that all WBA-MAD posters read the Daily Mail. I have to say, 123, that with these posts of yours you are putting yourself in the same bracket as the aforementioned daily rag.

Must be a huge coincidence that everyone shares exactly the same thoughts as it

Do they really? An unsubstantiated generalisation, methinks. As for Mr Lineker, the subject of this thread, he is perfectly entitled to his opinion, even if it goes against the views of the Daily Mail. I’m sure that his compassionate feelings for refugees is genuine but the language he used to express his opposition to government policy is, in the opinion of many, well ‘over the top’. To compare our current government, however incompetent you believe them to be, to Adolf Hitlers Germany is frankly, absurd. We have yet to hear from anybody, from any political party, with a sensible, workable policy to manage the issue of immigration and asylum claims.

In response to your first question, the answer is yes.

And it is absurd to compare our Govt to 1930's Germany?

There are a few comparisons, this government have criminalised peaceful protests, made it more difficult (for their opponents voter base) to vote by introducing voter ID. They've stripped British citizenship from British citizens. Criticized human rights act (I think removing it, or attempting to?) And most notably similar is they blame immigrants for all of society's problems.

All things done in Germany in 1930. Who by the way, had the support of propaganda outlets to condition the mind of population....propaganda outfits similar to that as the Daily Mail.

    Everyone 123?
There's less than 10 of us replied to this thread but it's an open board and it's all about opinions!

    What exactly is your opinion?

I'm assuming that being a Guardian reader that you agree with Lineker that all and sundry should rock up in little dinghies on our shores? Despite the fact that 9/10 of those arriving on boats are from countries like Albania and are simply coming for financial reasons.
I'm sure there's a room at your house for a few though eh, 123?
