Totally agree! Any party couldn’t be worse than the Tories! Such a shame another party can’t be created with a leader who is in touch with the working man.

    Never voted and never will.

PS - with the absolute wealth of the Sunak family wouldn’t you have thought he would offer his PM salary to charity! Never going to happen and it’s clear why!

It does make you wonder doesn’t it Al, why are they in politics? They must be quite influential and can influence a lot of policy decisions. You only have to look at where some of these politicians go for extra work. Bojo and his writing, Rudd some company (can’t remember), Miliband, the former lib dem leader.. they keep their contacts with politicians and that is where it all gets a bit dodgy. Oh, forgot about dodgy dave.

Is there more sleaze in politics today or is it that with so many media outlets we get to hear about it more? Sixty years ago we had the Profumo Affair which hit all the headlines but today there doesn’t appear to be a day goes by without some claim of sleaze against certain individuals surfacing. It is my opinion, and only my opinion, that politicians in the past generally went into politics for altruistic reasons more than they do today. They were also respected far more. This applies to all parties by the way. Perhaps these indiscretions have always gone on but the general public didn’t get to hear about them. Today, the saying goes, ‘How can you tell when a politician is lying? When his lips are moving!’

Technology has had a big influence and so has tricks such as click baiting headlines - where people never read the full story, just the headline and make assumptions. But there’s probably more charlatans in politics than before.

Morale standings have declined dramatically in the last quarter century world wide. Once that declines then so does general respect for things.

If Lineker wants to know what the real Nazis were like just talk to some concentration camp survivors, stories of throwing babies into furnaces. To call the Government the same thing over trying to solve a huge problem with Asylum seekers is plain stupid and shows just how ignorant he is along with the army of supporters he's getting.

I think the point he was making was the taking away of people's right to protest or go on strike, just to accept everything the government hit's them with.
Isn't that how Nazi Germany started?

What was wrong with Jimmy Hill introducing it, showing the games and saying goodnight?
It started off with just the one game hence the title.

BBC say MOTD will only be 20 mins long tonight. Shows how much sh!t3 is actually spouted.

Seriously though this is some situation for the BBC. People are apparently cancelling their license payments in their droves, Clarkson is now supporting Lineker etc

There's only one outcome this and it's the resignation of D!(k Sharp but then what credibility do the BBC have after?

Tbh, Lineker brought this on himself; he could have expressed his dislike of the immigration proposals without using the inflammatory language that he did, the BBC would then only have had to remind him privately of their impartiality regulation. Could it be that Lineker deliberately used such language to provoke the BBC into removing him? The cynic in me wonders if he has alternative, more lucrative contracts lined up and he needed an escape from his BBC contract. Surely not, people aren’t that devious, are they……..?
