He has not spoken/ tweeted directly about the Bill.

What he said was THE LANGUAGE being used when discussing the nature of immigrants is similar to that used in Germany in the 1930's. This LANGUAGE successfully stoked up feeling in German society against those who were not good and true Ayrian Germans.

(Just to save any legal issue Animal I know that you will be aware that the Director General of the BBC is Tim Davie, not Richard Sharp. Richard Sharp is the Chairman of the BBC and it is Sharp who is the Tory donor, ex Tory candidate and currently involved in the inquiry into Boris Johnson's loan and is clearly a person of the upmost impartiality regarding political views.)
Having looked again at the original tweet there is a criticism of the policy itself. It reads---

"This is just an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vunerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used in Germany in the 1930's"

So I was wrong to say the tweet was just about the language used and for that I apologise for inadvertedly misleading the board.

It will have passed most peoples attention that the Second Reading of the Immigration Bill was passed in the Commons last night by 312 votes to 250. Hardly any media attention.

Meanwhile the papers and airwaves are full of the "Lineker Affair" and BBC bashing with Tory MP's wanting the ending of the licence fee and a move to a subscription service instead.

    News diversion job done.

I actually didn't like the Motd show on Satdy night. 👎
It was very weird seeing it squashed down like that with no presenters/pundits, and no after match comments, and no commentators.
Although at least that meant no screeching from the awful Jonathan Pierce & Vickie Sparkes!.
I hope they reach an agreement soon and get it back to normal.
