The reference re stats was on Brighitti run of form was best when we reduced the number of shots.

There was one clean sheet where there was no shots on target Ross County 28th Dec no shots therefore no saves.

Saints game 1-0 only 2 shots on target

Course that means defence has done its job. But means keeper has not been relied upon at all.

Sieghrist was the difference between top six and bottom half last season and for me paper over the cracks

Alkmaar and Hearts away - compete disaster and cost any realistic chance in those important matches

At best he is not ready yet to play in Scottish premier - question if he will ever be ready but he certainly isn’t good enough for us if we are to have any chance

The Finn has been on the books for a reasonable amount of time now. The assessment made of him appears to be that he is also not good enough

If he was good enough would expect he’d have started today

I don’t know what Jack Newman is like - been on loan at Peterhead a while. Jimmy Mc presumably rates him. Very young and don’t know if he is ready

Other option is Zander Clark but we’d have to sell on, move on and get rid of others presumably to make this happen

    Goalkeeper is the key position.

It’s no mistake Sir Alex has players like schmeichel to win him all those matches.

Our own success was built on strong keepers

    This needs sorted pronto
Can i nominate the OP for post of the season?,if only the recruitment team and the goalkeeping coach had the same reservations back in August 2022 eh?.

Surely this is the manager trying to boost the guys confidence for the run-in, knowing fine well he has no other choice but to stick with him?

Absolutely. What else do people expect him to say - ‘That Oz keeper is 100% phucking schoite and will be gone at the end of the season’. Yeh that would really motivate him for what’s left of the season.

I think we have to look beyond the recruitment team and the GK coach now. He's been at the club almost a whole season. Everyone can see he's sh*te, even those at the club can see it. So why hasn't he been replaced? That is a question for those well above the recruitment team and the GK coach. We clearly tightened the purse strings in January, but our Premiership status is in serious doubt as a result.

And let's not forget about the manager who signed him. If we're blaming the GK coach, then Jack Ross has to be culpable as well. It was he who had 'numerous conversations with him before he signed'.

The guy can't stop shots down the middle of the goal ffs! But the manager can't fault him? I understand what you're both saying but **** me how does he expect us fans to believe that shyte? Sometimes it's better to say nothing at all.

Motivate him? Will that make him any less shyte though?

Probably not but, in our position, I reckon absolutely anything is worth a try.

JG will find out there us no hope though. 😢

But if he's asked a question, he has to provide some kind of answer. If the keepers confidence is shot, the last thing he needs is knowing his manager has given up on him. It's not like Edwards, where he can be dropped until he sorts his sh*t out. We can't drop the keeper, because the alternative is just as bad by the looks of it.
