Preston were very organised and out fought us in every area of the pitch. Wonder strike from Ched, A mate watching at home said it deflected on it's way in but I didn't notice that in the stadium.

Bramhall made their right back with the top knot look as good as Cafu but in reality Bramhal can run into space put has now idea how to beat a defender or make half a yard for a cross.

I felt for Hugill, living off scraps and no support up there with him - He was out on his feet with 20 minutes to go and no subs left available.

I thought the formation was poor and the game management wasn't the best.

Lessons learned for Saturday and we go again.

Surprised that golden boy Hjelde has escaped criticism, subbed at half time on Saturday and looked like he’d never played football before last night.

    Golden boy? Wow green eyes

You’ve already criticised him, some have mentioned players had a shocking game which I take included him

Still 5 points clear of Blackpool
Three above us are 2 and 3 points in front
No big deal unless we lose all our games which isn’t going to happen

All credit must go to Preston North End.

Well organised, stronger, more intelligent and fitter all over the park. We were lucky to have lost by only the one deflected goal.

    Give PNE some credit.
Ryan Lowe has them set up strong & organised in defence.
North End are an established championship club something we need to aspire to.
They're difficult to break down - don't score many - don't concede many - minus 5 in the gd.
They ran us ragged at times & looked a yard quicker & knew what to do with the ball.

Us - reckon he set up wrong across the back line - even allowing for Tyler Blackett not being 100% he ought to have started even if he only played for 45mins.
We couldn't break them down - lack of nous & ran out of ideas when around their box.
Didn't create enough where it matters.
Still a soft underbelly defensively - appealing for offside instead of being aware there's a yellow shirt unmarked on the far post for the first goal.
Decent goal from Evans although we gave him far too much space to control-turn & shoot.

Did the hard bit getting back in the game - quality goal from a set piece - any striker would have been proud of that.

Not too many positives from that game - disappointing result - even more disappointing performance.
If they do the same on Saturday they will get the same result.

He was awful last night, however I thought his replacement, Bramall, was even worse.

We were weak. Partly done off par players, partly injuries but mainly we played a very well organised team with better players who had a collective good game.

In our battle on limited resources to finish at least 4th from bottom, this is always going to happen. I've said it before, but once again to be hysterically negative about losing tonight is just as ridiculous as the "comfortably mid table" posts when we get a couple of good results. Ibs is right to point to the few (but not that many) complacent posts that seemed to think we had survival sewed up, but he never seems to notice the immediate tearful hystrionics of a significant minority when we lose! Prob cos he's a t1t! :-)

On balance, despite the defeat and Blackpool result, and injuries, on balance, we're well placed and have it in our own hands to survive. I don't think we lacked fight or anything like that tonight. Just got bossed by a better team but if we regain focus and battle enough like we know we can, I still think we can keep off the bottom 3.
Why do you have to attack other posters and not really focus on the game or our current form? You may find the criticism from people harsh and clearly you think that we have enough, but if that is the case, why? What have you seen that we are missing? Do you really think if we play like we have in the last two games we will finish above 3 teams? If so why? What will make us better than them? We know we have suffered from injuries and yes of course that hurts, but other teams have injuries too. Also we do not know what could be happening at the club that could be influencing the players in terms of injury, training, fitness, nutrition, sports science or even the psychology of the players. The point is the outcome of whatever the management team are doing hasn't been good in the last two performances, and complacency seems more likely at the club than the fans, when MT says "when was the last time Rotherham had 40 points with 11 games to go" that shows arrogance, he needs to remember that 14 points came in 9 (1.5 points a game) games under the previous manager, 1 game was under Wood/peltier the other 27 he has had getting 26 points (0.96 a game), so we are worse under MT than PW and he has had full backing from the board in January. Also remember we might criticise because we feel let down, we feel disappointment and we might care just a little too much, we might also be right
