I don't really understand what he's bothered about, why would he want to stand as a Labour candidate anyway, surely he can see what a fraudelent shell of a political party Labour now is. BT can, so why not Corbyn ? Feck 'em Jezza, you stand as an Independent mate, you'll probably win.

It's a bit like watching Michael Foot, he was too left for the "modern" Labour Party and an embarrassment to their corruption of the old ideals of socialism. Now, without the old Trade Unions backing Labour (people only join up when they want strike pay) they will no longer be the party of the working class so are having to adapt to get votes (a bit like the tories do when they want to convince voters they have ordinary people's well being as a priority {and not their own}. As often stated on here, politicians are in it for their own good, more so the Tories in my ever so 'umble opinion sir.

The Tories owe Jezza one, he thought of the Magic Money Tree first, they nicked that idea off him without a word of thanks.

It's worth noting Starmer is receiving more funds from business donations than the Labour Party have from the Trade Unions.

What a back stabbing piece of $hit Starmer is. 3 years ago he was pushing Corbyn to be Prime Minister. Them pesky Jews come in handy when you need them eh mon ami?

I assume that the Labour Party has a constitution that, inter alia, sets out the selection process. Provided that the constitution has been followed, Corbyn should suck it up and stand as an independent.

I imagine that any constitution also has provisions for how to change it. That process should be followed if members do not agree with elements of the constitution.

That is democracy, not someone objecting to a democratically made decision.

Corbyn was democratically elected leader by members of the Labour Party, all fair and above board and in accord with the Constitution. That set off a ****storm in the Labour Party, the Tory government and the media, especially, for whatever reason, at the BBC. The democratic decision of the members came under immediate and constant attack until they managed to overturn that democratic decision and get rid of him. Just how it was done I know not, I don't follow the internal machinations of the Labour Party very closely, BT will no doubt know.

Democracy my arse, Corbyn never had a chance.
