    EFL Highlights

Just been watching them, the highlights and as we got to Division 2 it was Bradford v Grimsby and I thought to myself I've been to both those grounds following Burnley, How many other Prem/ex Prem supporters can say the same? I suppose with cup matches there may be an odd one but I doubt it.

ps the fish and chips were good and a damn sight cheaper than Whitby.

We went to Grimsby on that ridiculous night when we lost 7-6, it mattered not a jot because I had half a whale and chips for about £3.00 and was so stuffed I could hardly move.

Went to Bradford in a mid-week Mickey Mouse Cup game and Chris Pearce played them on his own and then Ron Futcher nicked a winner.

It's just not the same now, for what reason I know not.

Enjoyed other "away days" at Macclesfield, Maidstone, Aldershot, Oldham, York (remember that night?!?!), S****horpe, Southend et al. We almost joined that long list of casualties. There but for the grace of God eh k_c?

I have been to watch Burnley at Bradford kc but have never been to Grimsby’s ground. The ground is not actually in Grimsby. Are there any other clubs whose ground is not in their own town?

Old Trafford is in Newton Heath. Hence the claim by City that there is only team in Manchester.

Bolton Wanderers who are playing for a pizza at Wembley today are actually now located in Horwich, miles away from Burnden Park.

I thought Old Trafford was in Stretford and Newton Heath is on the other side of Manchester ?

I think there's a bit of confusion here sinkov, United started in Newton Heath but obviously now reside in Trafford : Old Trafford, Sir Matt Busby Way, Wharfside, Gorse Hill, Trafford, Greater Manchester, M16 0RA.

It's that fresh Alpine air that does it.

Clearly it is still not regarded as Manchester by the Citizens!
