Saw their highlights against Oldham this morning..they tried a quick free kick like we did the other day...it got disallowed by the ref...just a warning for us to be switched on at all times ..

What no-one knows is the level of resilience we will have against the supposed quality of Wrexham and the extent to which Wrexham will play as a team against a team of different quality, the like of which they haven't had to face before this game. All fascinating stuff ...

I used to love the FA Cup, special competition that and chalk and cheese to the bread and butter of a league campaign.

Wrexham's perfomances in FA Cup tells you all you need to know when they up for it against good opposition in one off games.

Wrexham are an exceptional side, but so are we. I'm confident we can go there and beat them because of that. Some say we have weaknesses, well guess what, so do they. They've got Mullin, we've got Langstaff, and the list goes on.

We need to try and not put them on a pedestal and make them seem like something to fear. We should relish the challenge to go to their ground and try and silence their fans. We should go there and create anxiety amongst their fan base by playing football how we play it. That means keeping the ball as much as possible because they won't have the ball and won't be able to play their game. Also we may have to be direct at times if need be which we've done.

They've lost none at home and we've only lost once at home. Our away record is better than Wexham's.

There is a piece of paper that separate's both teams.

The things that do concern me are the officials. It needs a strong competent referee for this game hopefully someone from League One who will be brave and make the right calls and not be swung by a vocal crowd or "gamesmanship".

We are Wexham's biggest threat and I hope they do not resort to being cynical by fouling and at worst injuring any of our key players. That could weaken us after that point and any subsequent playoffs games. Both sides have been amazing and they should both treat each other with the respect they deserve.

When we played Wrexham at home we played them off the park in the first half until JOB went off injured.
In the 2nd half Wrexham were the better side and pressed us to go long but as I remember we created a few chances with Nemane especially causing them problems,
So as mentioned it is two good sides (comfortably the best two in the league)that will meet at the Racecourse on Monday.
Hopefully we can win on Friday and then tbh we have nothing to lose or fear on Monday

Both teams are going to create chances.
I think this is just going to be a question of who is the most clinical in front of goal.

Scott Tallis is the referee ( the one we had against Bromley).

A bumper Easter preview including in depth opposition analysis, particularly with Wrexham in mind . . .

When we played them at home, as said above, we played them off the park in the first half, but they were starting to get a foothold as we approached half time. I remember the second half that they had the best of it and I think we were a little lucky to keep the lead and win the game. Not that I'm complaining, just as I remember it.

I have been convinced Wrexham would slip up. I've seen them in a few games this season and in many they didn't play particularly well, but in all of them found a way over the line. I actually now think that they're just a really good side and as much as it pains me to say, I don't see them dropping any points.
