That makes it 30 games undefeated for Sarina Wiegman’s England Women. Another trophy to add to the European Championship they won last summer. Winning matters and the best coaches win on the big occasions. Were you watching GS?
Just flicking between the US Masters and the England v Brazil Ladies game and Emma Hayes is co-commentating.
For those of you who do not know who she is, she is the extremely gobby Chelsea Ladies manager and gets more than her fair share of commentating on all things football.
Gems so far this evening, "England need this sort of game against a team who are good in transition". "England are suffering at present because of their lack of inversion".
"The England defence are struggling in their own third because the girls from Brazil are much better in transition".
Incidentally, it was 1-0 for England at half-time and also had what looked like a perfectly good goal chalked off for offside.
Shut up Emma FFS!![]()

I like Emma Hayes. She was a pundit at the men's Euros and clearly knew a lot more about football strategy and tactics than the usual sad bunch of male ex pros she was working with. (Wright, Keane and Neville) Plus she speaks her mind.
And TBF she's won just about everything as a manager (apart from the Champions League where her team lost to Barca in the final) so she's a lot more qualified to talk about football than ex players and won "Pundit of the Year".

A pleasant change from the tired old cliches that Shearer etc churn out every week IMO.

Likes the sound of her own voice too much for my liking lusty and opines like hers is the only one that counts.
I loved it when City whupped Chelsea last week, that shut her up.
I love all this gobbledegook about transition, makes them sound like they know something about the simplest game in the world that ordinary fans don't. I'm still waiting for some fan on the terraces or stands to shout out, 'Come on lads, get your transitions right FFS', but you don't hear it do you, because us ordinary fans don't understand the game like the experts, do we.
Pundit of the Year ? Well done Emma, but it's a feckin low bar innit.![]()
