    Wednesday Supporters

It appears many Wednesday supporters have turned against Darren Moore. Big club - good squad and great support but they bottled the play offs last season and looking like they will miss out on automatic promotion again this season.

Loved him as a player but never rated him in a managers position. The season when he was sacked by us - we should have walked that league with that squad which is 10 times better and has far more quality than our present bottlers. We had Dawson - Holgate - Gibbs - Hegazi - Johnstone - Harvey Barnes - Jay Rod - a red hot Gayle and Barry to name but a few. Even HRK was better than Dike.

When I look at that team compared to the team now it brings you to tears. Dawson, Holgate, Johnstone and Barnes all Premier players even now!

He's done great Al. No managers get a chance these days. A few less than expected results and they are shown the door, whether its a top Prem manager or a division 1 manager. I bet no managers even un pack their bags these days.

That side we had under him though Boingy is far superior and littered with quality compared to our present lot. Apart from Palmer honestly don’t think one player would cut it in the Premier - even Okay who I love!

Agreed Al, I struggle to think of one player who would cut it in the prem. Many aren't competitive enough at this level.

Totally agree Des. Whilst Bruce was poor you can’t keep blaming him either! Bruce was not responsible for Blues - Hull - Cardiff - Rotherham - QPR and Sunderland to name but a handful of disasters against poor sides! You can’t blame injuries either! You can’t even blame Lai for 25 million wasted on useless Grant and the lump of lard!!!

I blame Lai for pretty much everything, the malaise at the club starts at the top and permeates all the way down. Ultimately, he is responsible for the people in positions that matter at the club, financial and recruitment, to mention but two. The longer that wretched chinaman owns our club, the worse things will get, we all know that. Unfortunately, the prospect of sneaking into the Premier League raises more hope amongst us that the riches from promotion would hasten Lai’s departure; sadly I don’t think that is any more likely than if we stay where we are.

You’re probably correct Kettering as promotion would have Lai licking his lips at the money to go into his pockets. Little or none of would be invested in players. Horrible little runt!

Were not ready at all. We need Corberan to be given time to build and to be given cash for that purpose. I can't see us either keeping Corberan or getting cash.

That's the thing isn't it? We all know at heart that if we were to gain promotion we would be in for a lot of depressing viewing because we simply aren't good enough and even with the financial rewards of going up this would not be sufficient to buy enough quality players of the calibre we need (even if Lai did invest the money rather than trouser it).

Tbh, the best scenario would probably be to be able to rebuild in the Championship under Corberan but it still comes down to the same problem-the lack of a decent owner who is both committed to the club and has the funds to invest. Until we can replace Lai with better I don't think anything will change much.

    Unfortunately yes.
