Definitely the best team to have played us this season.
However the worst ref by a country mile!
Morsy and Hirst should both have seen red tonight, he was pulling our players back for throws but allowing them to go Miles up the line!
2 offsides against us when we broke were never offside, the tackle on Cole in the second half was a blatant foul on Cole which he gave to Ipswich?
Definitely not much between the teams though.
Duffy dropped a clanger by playing Russell and not Benson who was good when he came on, I wanted Russell off after 15 minutes he was dire!! He should have been on the near post for the first goal and got a proper b0llocking from Kitch, Kane and Williams.
They were extremely dirty and we tried to stand up to it but the ref wasn't strong enough.

One of those games that wind you up even though you know Ipswich are probably a better team than ourselves .

Left a nasty taste in the mouth did that last night .

They caught every break going and were helped by a complete clown for a referee .

It's to be hoped the referees are way better than this for the play offs .

Don't hold your breath mind .

They were better on the night and they were more clinical SB. My frustration is that it's difficult to play on a non-level playing field as created by some of the referees.
Having said that, I'd have taken 4th place at the beginning of the season.

I think we lost because…….
Our strikers were out muscled.
Our central defenders were out muscled.
The ball fell kindly for them for 2 of their goals.

There wasn’t that much difference in the quality of the players.
It definitely wasn’t a 0-3 game.

Those are the facts. They are better than us.

If they hadn't missed the penalty and hit the underside of the bar it would not have been a 0-3 game, it would have been a 0-5 game.

I went last night fully expecting us to lose, this was confirmed when I found out Luca was out!
It had exactly the same feeling as the Wembley play off in 2000.
We played well in both, there wasn't much between the teams but deep down you knew we would be coming away disappointed!
I don't know why but I really like Ipswich and their supporters and I'm genuinely chuffed for them.....it's infuriating!
Like you said though never thought we would get to finish 3rd or 4th at the start of the season so still a happy chappy!

1. We would have won if Connell had played

2. The referee was incompetent/ biased

3. We were unlucky with the run of the ball

4. If game had been played on original date we would have won

I agree SB. Ipswich are better than us but so too are Plymouth based on statistics and points accumulated thus far. Barnsley 3 Plymouth 0, Barnsley 0 Ipswich 3. It's a funny old game!
