Thread: Ameen Al-Dakhil.

    Ameen Al-Dakhil.

Looks to me like VK has spotted another superstar in the making. When this lad beefs up a bit he will be one heck of a centre-back. Thoughts anyone?

Outstanding last night, best player on the pitch, which was a good job as Charlie demonstrated why Vinni doesn't pick him very often.

I think Charlie might be on his way out if a decent offer comes in, but Maatsen returning to Chelsea permanently might give him another season with us.

I still worry about Maatsen, a very talented footballer, but a hopeless defender, I was hoping he might improve as the season wore on, but he's still clueless. He gets away with it at this level, would he get away with it in the PL ?

Chelsea might want to cling on to him. Cucurella at left back is more like Cinderella needing their Fairy Godmother to sort things out while they go gadding about.

Agreed Sinkov but we all keep forgetting he’s still a young man who has a lot to learn - I tend to agree he maybe better left midfield at this time as he has all the attributes to be a superstar- usually his pace gets him out of sticky situations ( in this league anyway ).

I know I’ve posted before but I really think this boy has got the lot - Pace - skill - two feet - a very good brain ( sniffs danger ) I accept he makes the odd irrational decision but I believe he could be right at the top of the game.

As for Al Dakhil- struggled at Rotherham but certainly stepped up last night - and in Taylor’s defence he hasn’t played for weeks really and gets thrown in to what we’d call the biggest game of the season really - he did look way out of his depth though- I still think physicality needs addressing- I noticed Southampton had a lad on loan I think centre mid that would suit is to a tee - Romeo lavia I think - he’s a Belgium uncannily enough 👍

If THB and Beyer both return to their clubs, we have Ekdal and Ameen who have both performed well and will get better. Taylor is not that bad and did well in the PL. I hope we keep him as he can play at left back and as a centre back. He is not a superstar but he put in some great performances in previous seasons.

I agree, Maatsen is a footballer but not a defender. imo he has all the skills required of a good mid- fielder. Ameen should do well .has pace, a great- attribute for a centre-back.

Does he have his own song yet?

    How does it feel?
