To beat them twice and win the title at Deadwood has put the icing on the cake to finish off a totally unexpected and fantastic season.

Vincent Kompany's impact on Burnley Football Club is already in the "iconic legend" class. I take my hat off to a very impressive man and I am not easily impressed as you well know mon ami.

You forgot to add that they have not scored a goal against us in the last 516 minutes of football. Jonathan Rhodes scored in the 24th minute at Ewood on 9 March 2014 but we had Jason Shackell and Danny Ings scoring to ensure a win.

Good stuff Sub, that's a useful stat for the next time I bump into one of my Blackburn supporting chums. Incidentally, I knew it wasn't Jonathan Rhodes, but for the life of me I couldn't remember what his first name actually was, I had to Google it in the end. It's a bugger this growing old.

Hmmm, I beg to differ, your adoration of the likes of Jeremy Corbyn, Dianne Abbott and Rebecca Long-Bailey has me struggling to think of anyone I know, or have ever known, who is more easily impressed than you are mon ami.

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"I don't know if the lads realise it, I think J-Rod (Jay Rodriguez) does because he's one of the people I was speaking to. I think J-Rod understands what it means for the people of Burnley to come and win the league at Ewood Park, for us you couldn't write it.

"Even the scenario of the game, after everybody is speaking about how good we are on the ball, today to see how good we were defensively, winning challenges, second-balls, crosses, everything else, that's a side of the team I'm proud about as well.

"A day that will live forever for us and a tremendous achievement for the lads.

"There's two awards you win this season which is promotion and the league, then there's two more trophies to win which are your derbies, and we've won all four this season. I know what it means and I don't know if the players realise it yet but I know what those games have meant for me in my career."

My darling Rebecca is next on Starmer's hit list, but she's nowhere near as dumb as Dianne and works tirelessly for her constituents and is in it for the long game (no pun intended). "Israel" and "Jew" are not words you will hear her speak.

I think it was a lame excuse to avoid crowd trouble to reduce the normal 5000 away allocation to 2000
