Without the poverty stricken train drivers' strike, this thread wouldn't have seen the light of day. It is not Notts fans being arrogant or counting their chickens, it is just people giving their ideas and thought on how to get to Wembley, SHOULD we win on Sunday. People do have to plan ahead more when a mode of transport is taken away by starving train drivers.

What a load of twaddle about this thread being embarrassing. We're not planning where we're sitting, we're saying as the trains are now on strike how would everyone get there and passing information on that to help each other. Obviously we know we could go out, we're on this site aren't we so well versed in our failures. You don't think other sides in the playoffs are discussing, after the train strikes were announced, how they'd get to Wembley?
Sorry we must only discuss and plan our trips after the semi's, otherwise you're a very naughty, big headed boy. Yawn.
I booked train tickets a while ago to take advantage of low prices and took the view that I could have a day on the beer in London if all else failed. It wasn't arrogance and expectation that we would get there, it was pragmatism. Unfortunately, due to the strike, I've had to get a refund for my tickets.
Correct, of course they are. Four of the clubs involved are close enough to Wembley to do it by public transport so it's not likely to cause many problems for them. Chesterfield are in a similar location to us, and guess what? On their board there is a topic titled "Rail Strike For National League Wembley Final" which currently has 238 posts!
Only on NCM!!!
Exactly. Everyone here has already had the conversation about whether they'd go to Wembley if we got to the final. That conversation involves how to get there. For me, it was very simple before the strikes were announced. Now, it's looking very complicated. Discussing that doesn't mean I assume we'll be there. Most Notts fans are so burdened by pessimism from decades of disappointment that they rarely see beyond the worst outcome.
Guess there won't be a score prediction thread then for the semi to deny motivation for the opposition or will
it consist of just predictions for away wins - lulling them into a false sense of security?
I've never looked forward to a score prediction more than this one. Will be interesting to see what folks predict
Us 0 Them 1
Apart from your obvious misunderstanding of this thread I don’t know why you think any opposition manager would spend time reading NCM or any other Notts based social media to look for an advantage in their play-off game with us. If they are I think that’s brilliant because they are spending less time actually working on a strategy likely to be more successful or they’ve given up already. (And I did have to read your post a few times thinking this must be tongue in cheek but I decided it was intended to be “serious”).
Fail to prepare, prepare to fail. I’ve not read anything that suggests people are being arrogant, but bearing in mind the final is less than two weeks away I don’t see anything wrong with people putting measures in place early should with the emphasis on should we get to Wembley.
I also imagine the club and the coaching staff will be doing similar behind the scenes along with the other clubs in the playoffs. If we beat Barnet or Boring Wood with only six days to plan and prepare for a final after the game is not actually very good planning and preparation if nothing is put in place prior. I’ve no doubt plans will be in place ready to hit the button on those plans after the final whistle next Sunday if we are successful.
We all have to approach it as two games and prepare on that basis, both fans and club. If our journey ends a week today then those plans will not need to be acted upon. That is all.
