Yesterday's result, while disappointing, was not totally unexpected. The the wins we had recently gave us a chance to avoid the drop but we haven't suddenly become a good team in a few weeks. The massive games were always going to be those against Kilmarnock and RC. We lose those and we are down. Win and we have as great chance of staying up. Draw and phucknose!
That was poor yesterday but I didn't think St Johnstone were up to much either and we seemed to play better with 10 men with Fletcher affy unlucky when he hit the post late on. Nobody has mentioned Mulgrew's straight red! Looked really soft to me and the player looked affy wide for it to be for a goalscoring opportunity and the actual tackle didn't look dangerous but I'll have to see it on tv.
It wasn't. I had the fear all week. Didn't like the timing of the break one bit. Now this weekend is enormous. Livi's current away record means you have to expect Killie to pick something up, despite them struggling with Livi all season. I'm more confident of a result against County than I was yesterday however. We have to cut out the long ball sh*te though. We were back at it yesterday, long before we threw Edwards up front. And let's hope Edwards is up for the fight, as he's gonna be needed to partner Ayina.
The way we have to look at it is 9 points out of 12. A few weeks ago if we were told we would be ahead of Killie and Ross County going in to last 4 games with both having to come to Tannadice we would absolutely of taking that. Hopefully Tannadice will be jumping next week.
Totally agree. Watched it last night. Wasn’t a red for me. Wasn’t a clear cut goal scoring opportunity. As I mentioned earlier I also don’t think Charlie had to dive in. He just had to track the run and force him out wide, but because of his lack of pace I think he panicked. The player still had a lot to do and Ayina was making up ground.
