Mulgrew didn't cover himself in glory at all yesterday. Poor at the goal as you say and a terrible decison with the red card. Ayina was 15 yards behind the challenge. He wasn't getting the ball. That leaves Hallberg with a clean run on goal, albeit from an angle, but he'd still have got the shot off. Thought it was a red at the time, and do even more so now.
Big moment for Edwards next week, but given the way the defence lay off almost every attack yesterday, he surely can't be much worse. He bounced back well from being dropped by Goodwin last time. Let's hope he does similar.
Also, Freeman. F*ck me, he was absolutely honking yesterday. A performance of Livi away standards.
Hopefully just a bad day at the office, at a ground that we never perform well at, and we can get back to our recent form at Tannadice.
Yet another marginal VAR decision (in a VERY long list) that doesn’t go our way this season…
(Trial-by-Sportscene didn’t think it was a red card).
Not helped by Halberg waving a pretend red card towards the referee,
And certainly not helped by Mulgrew simply walking off the pitch,
Seemingly Without any kind of argument.
This aswell
Can't get too down, those three wins were huge and are why we weren't bottom going into yesterday, it's all about perception, County had the"easiest"opening post split fixture on paper, home to the team on the poorest run currently with nothing to fight for, we can't control the other games, it's not like they were drawing at half time, saw we were losing and then went onto win, they were ahead before the goal in perth
Let's make it as hostile as possible and difficult for them, makes a difference when we are positive in thy stands even with a set back, show them that defeat in Dingwall was a one off
Good point on County having the easiest fixture. It definitely was. The Killie result yesterday was also good for the mindset. After their win at Paisley, to come crashing right back down to earth against Well without a single shot at goal was pleasing and a reminder that they are still sh*te away from home.
As for this weekend, I make it about 65 tickets left in the GF with the ET sold out. Gonna be a cracking atmosphere.
DId anyone notice yesterday that Considine’s long throw was actually a foul throw. His right leg is off the ground when he releases the ball. I have noticed this in numerous games, not necessarily United games, and especially at long throws where players either have one foot off the ground or encroach onto the pitch. Surely VAR should be checking this.
