I’m sure Putin will welcome you with……………. A prison sentence or poisoning, perhaps just death. It’s crap being a British citizen when you could be a Russian murdering scumbag.

There is rich and poor in every country in the world. Be grateful for where you live. Stop knocking what you should be proud of. Your Nationality.

Strange post! Don’t think anyone has completely disagreed with the monarchy on here but some quite rightly who can’t afford to eat or heat will question the sensitivity of gold chariots and diamonds. Why was there not a huge donation to charities as perhaps this would have brought more respect?

Why would anyone feel anything for the ginger runt who sold the family down the river for money? What about the brother who is a disgrace and likes little girls?

The Queen though was one in a million but a pity some have turned it into a circus! William though is a a very likeable guy so full credit unlike his disgusting brother! I like Camilla too who makes Charles happy unlike Diana so full credit to the lady!

Spot on! It’s not the individuals but the institution that we should be proud of.

Exactly, you wonder why these people who constantly moan 24/7 about everything choose to stay in this country but here's the rub they know where their bread is buttered and in reality actually enjoy living here .

Thought the coronation was actually hyped down a peg or too. The Liverpool and Celtic fans singing “you can stick you coronation up your a***” shows what a balanced and open country we are … despite all our faults. If they did that in Russia with a chant “you can stick the Special Military Operation up your a***” they would all be doing 20 years in the gulag … in fact they wouldn’t do it at all as they would be too scared to open their mouths.

We live in a very tolerant country - prepared to live with all opinions and biases … and long may it continue. And as for the Royal Family - I think they do far more good (by a country mile) than harm to this country.

Not really a strange post, just a balanced view. You do surprise me with some things you say. You posted, referring to Diana ‘she liked it.’ I imagine, though correct me if I’m wrong, you we’re referring to her amorous connections whilst married. You appear to perhaps have double standards, as Charles and Camilla were banging each other whilst married to their respective partners. So she, Camilla, is equally as bad as Diana. For the record I am not keen on Camilla to be honest. Diana would have made a better queen. Sadly she married Prince Charles and they were totally unsuited.

Regarding the financial cost of the coronation. Most countries celebrate things and those celebrations cost. I’ll again use Russia as a example. Every 9th May Russia celebrates the victory over Nazi Germany, the cost of the annual parade must be astronomical, yet many Russians live in utter poverty.

The coronation is probably a one off for many, the crowds that turned out to watch it, hold street parties and the tv audience globally says something. There are poor people, but there are many who claim to be poor but still have televisions, Apple phones, Sky tv, internet, nice cars, the list is endless, so compared to poverty of years gone bye. Poverty to day might have seemed like a walk in the park to those people who lived in 18 and earlier 1900’s.

Fair points. For the record - I certainly am not anti royal as total respect for the Queen and said on a previous post - I would play the national anthem before any sporting event as they do in the USA.

My grudge is with a few individuals ie Harry and Andrew who disgust most people! I hope Harry is happy with his millions and God help him if Meghan leaves him!

Agree re Harry, he is not a nice person. As for Andrew, that goes without saying.
