Well done to the lads this season after Bruce’s lousy start to even be in with a shout on the last day. No autopsy for me. Every team can beat any team in this league. We know this. So why be surprised if we lose a game? I know these comments might bring some vitriol but to be honest I couldn’t give a stuff.
Be interesting to see how we get on if Corberran can bring in his own type of players, I’m with you on the Premiership, I detest it and all it stands for

Can’t argue with that at all Boingy. The appointment of Bruce was our catalyst. He was never a good fit, never, never, never.
The fact it took so long for those that could change things to change things is also a huge factor in out failure to get auto promotion or at least to the play offs is another huge factor.

    On to the 23/24 season.

It was a blatant foul, shocking refereeing not to dis all that goal. Anyway, glad we didn’t miss the because of that. Bloody Sunderland, too, hope they don’t win the playoffs.

Bruce was a disaster but hey it was not the manager v Hull, Cardiff, Rotherham, QPR, Sunderland’s kids and Swansea. We need to face facts - we were not good enough and have too much dead wood on very high wages

End of the day we just weren’t good enough. And the only benefit of getting a promotion would have to our invisible owner who would have pocketed a load of cash to support his failing businesses.

We need a complete player clear out and renewal. Livermore, Grant, Swift, Diangana, Philips, Bartley, Rogic, Reach, Button …. How many of these players have made a real impact this season … maybe Swift on occasions … but the rest …. And the cost combined must be £150k per week. We can’t afford it - and suspect many are on long contracts so limited chance of offloading unless a fire sale.

Looking at many of the recent games, I wonder how fit some of the players are …. Questions for the back room team … also the medical team given the shocking injury and recovery record ….

No question Lai, Gourlay and Bruce set us up for failure this season. Carlos has done his best and almost got us there - but even he was found wanting on some occasions with decision making. Big questions now for next season.

I'm looking forward to a new season with Corberan as manager. I thought we played quite well today but we desperately need a goalscorer who can get close to 20 goals.

Good post Barrera and agree with you! Swift is poor in my view! We have no Pereira and nobody who is fit to clean his boots with creativity! Plus we have no goal scorer and still no one who can bang in goals like some of the other championship teams!

Fire sale? Who would want players like Grant, Wallace or Swift on their wages especially as they are average championship players at best!
