Seems to me that Bowyer might be persuaded to stay. Both John Nelms and Tim Keyes will recognise the job done by Bowyer and Barr and I think the idea of having everyone playing for promotion in the hope they will be part of the new season rather than the McPake way of giving them deals in anticipation of promotion. Nelms did learn, they didn't fold and give Bowyer funds to alter the squad.
Think this puts Bowyer in a fairly strong position.
Hope he makes it very plain what he wants and Nelms and Keyes decide immediately if they are going to go with him.
If change is coming we need to get started right away and sort out manager as a priority.
I hope both Bowyer and Barr stay.

I doubt Keyes has much input but there is another who does.

Yesterday it was posted on Pravda that GB has not spoken to Nelms for several months.
I do not know if this information is correct.

    Then why repeat it?

I read that too and ignored it. I was told something '100% factually correct' on Friday night immediately after the match by an Arab mate who heard it via the Arab rumour mill that would be disastrous for Dundee FC if it was true. But it's so obviously just a rumour made up by some bitter DAB arse wipe who couldn't face seeing us celebrate that I would never repeat it.

Best hearing things like that and just laughing them off.

I do not understand why Gary Bowyer was not given a three year contract instead of a 12 month rolling contract.
A three year contract would have given him some security and if he was appointed manager of another football club Dundee FC could receive compensation.
I do not ever remember us handing out rolling contracts when appointing a new manager until FPS acquired a controlling majority shareholding in Dundee Football Club Limited.

Because if they fail and you need to replace them after a year you need to pay up their contract - it's been one of the Americans' biggest failings since coming in, hiring managers on three year contracts and firing them because they were failures. Same with players.

The Americans have stuck by dud managers a lot longer than most other clubs.
