Midfielder Albie Morgan heads a list of six players to be released by Charlton Athletic this summer.

Morgan, 23, departs The Valley after making more than 150 appearances and scoring nine goals since coming through the club's academy.

Also leaving the Addicks are Macauley Bonne, Sean Clare, Alex Gilbey, Nathan Harness and Ryan Inniss.

But new contracts have been offered to Michael Hector, Aaron Henry and Terell Thomas, with discussions ongoing.

Alex Gilbey been on loan at Stevenage so wouldn’t be surprised if they signed him. One of the grounds I ticked off my list for the 92 earlier this season. Really impressed with him, he ran the midfield that night.

Sam Smith of Cambridge released, think he’s a half decent centre forward from what I’ve heard

Also, young Knibbs of Cambridge, think a few clubs were trying to get hold of him in the January window but Cambridge turned the offers down. Most appearances as a sub but his goal to full game ratio quite good. Friend who is a Plymouth fan said they were trying all they could to try and get hold of him in January
