No it’s not and stop being obtuse (if that is possible).
He is the number 9 and grabbed the ball and Sam said he publically he is his number 9.
No one is going to grab the ball off him in those circumstances and cause an argument and wreck his confidence.
Rodrigo should have taken it but he was in an impossible position as Bambi got the ball and placed it on the spot. He should have let Rodders take it as he was the last player to score from the spot.
His poor form, lack of confidence and inability to be the player we need were the reasons he should have passed up - by grabbing the ball he made it pretty much impossible for anyone else to take it off him.
Irrespective - having put the ball down he needs to do better - unless the keeper for the wrong way that was such an easy pen to save - right height and not in the corner and not hit that hard. If you are short on form shape to place it in a corner and hammer it hard down the middle with a bit of elevation. (Listen to Shearer, Sherringham and Lineker talk about taking pens if you think I am making it up.
).
Compare and contrast with Wilson who buried both of his.
Bamford is not good enough, probably never had been, is too old to get better and has cost us maybe 5 points in 3 of the last 5 games - Fulham - Leicester - Barcodes.
5 points and we might already be safe but would certainly be in the box seat.
He seems like the kid at school who was crap but got occasionally picked to play and the rest of the team sighed at the thought of it.
At his age, on his salary he should be a leader that steps up - he is more like a shrinking violet that curls up and withers.
We are all pissed off with the situation but yet again you seem to just want to cause an argument on a stupid point.
If you love Bamford that much rather than you talking bollox again I will happily buy you a signed poster and a box of Kleenex and post them to you to save me from listening to this constant drivel.
