I've questioned his playing Bamford and Firpo. It's probably unfair, as he's been brought in with 4 games left to a team going backwards. He's decisions are based on the short time he has, probably thinking to try and stick with what you have (not much experience in reserve and maybe not fair to give youth its chsnce at this time)

I'll say again, once Bamford took the ball no one is going to get into a haggling with him prior to the kick.
Not gonna disagree with that WS.

With more time I'm sure Sams eyes would not have been swayed by his own gained pundit outside views of ER events.

But I'll add its also about having leaders or more to the point ''a leader" on the pitch that day. We had a captain in Ayling (as Coops didn't play) so for me he should should have stood up & taken the spot-kick as over the seasons he actually strikes a dead ball well in tense moments as I've witnessed on several valued occasions.

Obviously in his short time frame Sam has listened to the senior pro's aka 'the players committee' and maybe been swayed by their opinions but I'd suggest the intelligent, intellectual experienced demeanour of the Bamford persona masked a more likely over eagerness to prove a point by said player - who I believe is not match or indeed mentally sharp enough to warrant a starting place, let alone being a responsible penalty-taker as he's not a natural born 'clean striker of the ball' to be brutally honest technique wise by any stretch of the imagination.

Rightly or wrongly he's now given his detractors more ammunition for criticism than the flack he got from the weekly support regular diehards who never really forgave him for his 'cupped hand to ears' goal celebration message to those he felt undue criticism had derived from - a rather silly gesture of frustration.

Obviously some comments of late from his detractors are a disgrace I'll finally add.

I am a detractor of bampuffs. Have been for several years. The board put their faith in him and it was a mistake. He's, at best, a role player striker in the prem.

I also understand that football's just a game. However, it's "the sport" for many supporters and Leeds have some of the most intense supporters. If you think it's going to be care bears, rainbow slides and unicorns when you don't do your job then you are in the wrong profession. Go work for the government or be a librarian if you don't want any friction in your career.

with that being said... threats as a keyboard warrior or personal threats from afar are BS. Like others have said on threads "say it to his face" if you are such a man. it's over the top and not worth anyone getting hurt or dying over but say it to someones face if you want to threaten him or his family. Social media breeds this pathetic behavior. In past times many of these people would have their ass beat if they said the things that they say on social media.

Or would have said it down the pub where people would have told them not to be so stupid.

I do think there is a world of difference between expressing an opinion about a player on a forum (within the bounds of humour and decency) and putting stuff out there on social media channels or saying it to his face.

I suspect a lot of people who make such threats would be incapable and too fearful to act on the threat having no keyboard to kind behind but it is a little symptomatic of today’s world that people often speak or type/send without exercising any degree of caution or thought to what they are saying.

They don’t seem to have too many role models in politics either setting the right example and some pundits (Gary Neville comes to mind) who seem to think they have the answer to things they know little or next to nothing about or just otherwise talk testicles.

    Question sera sera.

People forget with the amount of money doing the rounds with crooked bookies and bad gamblers anything is possible. Remember the Colombian's own goal in WC which ended badly for him.
That's why this guys get paid so much as they say comes with the territory.
Personally I would rather know the threats than not. As it has happened it's all out and nothing will come off it.
It is rather one of the two above and not the true fans of the club.

    Forums are social media Hope!
One little snipped taken by one individual from ones post can go viral that is how social media works.
That's why I try to have my posts out with some humor in them but meaning what is said. That way I try hard not to effect the person reading to misread what i try to say. Sometimes it comes out wrong but hey I respect everyone's opinions but I do try.

I’ve got two dogs. Just saying.

(That said, Dax might not bother reading most of them…)
