Might pop to the pub tonight and watch the second leg, the first leg was a good game.
What a contrast though between the two clubs. One is the greatest club on the planet by a country mile owned by the people, the other is a club that was a middling club, the "other" club from Manchester who spent time in the third tier before being bought by billionaire's and getting instant trophies.
Not saying who I want to win but I will be drinking Madri.
Man C do look quite invincible this year.
It is not being jealous or envious, I just don't like them. Some absolutely brilliant individual players for sure (Harland is wonderful) but I am talking about the whole and the way it has been put together. Quite sad really
I love watching City, I got over the “buying it” argument ages ago because if we had a wealthy owner I’d be two faced as it wouldn’t bother me if we could then buy world class players albeit I preferred the Brighton and Brentford models.
City okay wonderful football and they bring through their own quality youngsters such as Foden if they’re good enough.
I realise there’s a lot of Grealish haters on here but I like him, apart from Jude Bellingham Grealish is now our second best player and world class……a joy to watch and tracks back these days in a way we can only dream of our players doing.
Guardiola knows how to pick a player, I don’t think he takes advice from Gourlay.
City were brilliant to watch last night.
I’m not doubting that City are a great side but let’s be honest, if you’ve got the financial ability to buy the best players in the world there’s a fair chance you’ll have one the best teams in the world. It’s not rocket science. I don’t give them nearly as much credit as Leicester deserved when they won the Premiership. The question that I always ask is that if the likes of Pep Guardiola were to manage an average side would they do any better than the current manager. I’m not convinced that they would!
Teams who have had rich owners like City and Chelsea means that proper clubs like ours will never win anything again.
There used to be a pub in Bradley, The Golden Lion who won the darts league every year. The gaffer paid the best darts players in the Midlands to turn up and play. They only used the pub on darts night.
Football is becoming the same.
Give me Brighton or Brentford any day.
