But the other players are under contract at Notts. He was on loan.
I’m not saying he didn’t have an attitude but assuming that’s the case because he wants first team football seems a bit unfair.

I'm happy with Johnny Bostock, even if his pancakenka penalty was a bit of a flop.
Would anyone have Castro instead of Bostock?

Not me. I think he will be massive for us in L2.

Bostock all day long, what he brings to the team far outweighs the odd goal from Castro who didn't offer much else.

I'd definitely take Bostock over Castro. However, we have released Ed Francis and Frank Vincent - and Ruben may leave - so you'd assume we will be looking to add at least 2-3 new CMs to the squad this close season. So it's not really a question of choosing one or the other.

Another useful thing Castro could bring to the squad is height - something we are lacking a little. Does anyone know if any of his goals for us this season actually came from headers?

I don't think so, the only headed attempt I seem to remember him having at goal, he missed from about a yard out against Bromley.

Damn, I thought this was a post about Cuba.

Castro was good enough to get a contract at WBA so going on loan to a NL side was for fitness and game time so of course he would expect to get into the starting 11 and that not being the case why wouldn't he go somewhere else where he plays regular football - I certainly don't think he had bad attitude.
Totally different player to Bostock he hasn't discovered the defensive side of football yet.. perhaps JB hadn't at his age, showed glimpses of skills above NL and good attacking intent but didn't work hard enough for me - see Ruben's workrate when we don't have the ball.
JB is a key player for us next season and wouldn't be surprised to see him as a double pivot with MP especially in away games and tbh don't think we could get anyone better in that position at that level.
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't receive offers from Division 1 or Championship this summer for him - for me a fit JB could play Championship probably more than any other player in our squad.
