We don't have enough time to let another manager come in with the" it's a clean slate for all the players" attitude. This entire team has been on trial with JC for the last couple of months and he will know 100% who he can trust. JG will be ruthless with ditching players, he had to try and put a protective arm around our popstars to try and coax a performance out of them. With the season over and the opportunity to change things, I reckon he will gut the team in the way it is needed!
It would certainly be a novelty having the same manager at the end of the season and at the start of the new one. That hasn't happened for a few years. From interviews with players they seem to like JG. Fletcher has given gave him full endorsement to stay on. The problem is the strength of the playing squad and used to playing a brand of football that is soulless. I am all for JG being given the chance to rebuild the squad for next season. He will already have a fair idea about where the problems are.
