Odd way of comparing 2 strikers and I reckon we conceded less from set pieces this season than in Kyle Wootons last season at Notts?

It certainly felt that way to me, but I don't have the stats to back it up.

Was interesting to see Kristian Dennis got 20 goals for Carlisle last season. I'd say he is very similar to Macca in the way he scores his goals so if we can ensure Macca gets the service he should have no problem scoring the goals. I have no concern over Macca's ability to step up, he's a natural goal scorer and definitely L1 standard. My concern for next season is ensuring we have the players to give him that service.

True. If Ruben leaves, that's a lot of assists that need replacing. The same goes for Nemane if he goes.

Austin has provided a decent amount of assists, but he doesn't quite have that ability to unlock defences that Ruben has.

Negative comment against Langstaff because I remember LW stating that he was not allowed in our box to defend corners etc, his place was in the opponents box!. So not a very ‘informed comment’ I would say.

The unfortunate thing about this thread is Boro are aware and apparently according to a local mint sauce, will be watching to see how he gets on in L2. If he is banging them in again, expect him gone in January is the message.

That's what I would do if I were a top L1 or Championship club. Yes, he's had two great seasons at different levels of non-league football, but with zero league experience at 26, he's still a massive gamble for the price we'd be asking. If he repeats his form this coming season and is among the top scorers by Christmas, I can see big bids coming in January or next summer. That might be the right time for us to cash in as well.

I'd be absolutely fine with that and then just before January he picks up an injury keeping him out for a few weeks so he doesn't go.

I'd love to know how much that place cost, you're right could be a millstone round their neck for years to come.
