Patience, folks. It'll all be happening in the background. First we'll know of a transfer will probably be when it's announced.

Liverpool usually get their business done early. They are very good at that. I will be disappointed if we don' get at least some business done in the next couple of weeks.

I expect some late signings too of course.

They do sign early but often spend top dollar. So we need to beat a few to the punch for our top targets.

I'm sure we have the right people in place to seal the deals we want at the right prices and contracted salaries.

The dust has only just settled on the domestic season. There is still the small matter of the UCL final to come. Once City win the treble, the whole football industry will be 100% of the upcoming transfer window.

Most are currently a week into their holiday.

    Phillips hands Newcastle transfer blow
The only blow would be if we got him not fit enough for city and his injury record is not good

Deals are probably as good as done behind the scenes I reckon. Fully confident. Be nice to hear an announcement of 2 or 3 solid 30/40 million type new players in the next month to fill the gaps with a couple more young prospects thrown in for good measure then a surprise or two towards the end of the window would be nice

Yeah indeed after the excellent season we're all super excited for the signings and the whole show to continue.

We have to remember that this was a world cup year. Pretty much every player, manager and senior club members will have nipped off on holiday as soon as the final day was brought to a close.

Soulless Agents etc will be in overdrive trying to move their players on. We've seen a lot of media hype already.

However, if you look at our pursuit of Botman for example. We did that deal over the season. He signed in the summer, we would have been negotiating with him from before Jan when we tried to get him.

I don't doubt we tried to do the same with Veiga & Szoboszlai. Veiga was rumour in Jan but it was only a murmur that didn't seem to have a lot of legs.

Pini Zahavi was in Riyad last week. He met with senior members of the PiF. Then the Veiga deal information was leaked.

I Wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear anything at all on major first team signing until the transfer window opens. We'll get the teasers like this young fella from Denmark for the development squad, the 'Ashworth Specials', the Amuse-Bouche if you will, before we get the main course of the transfer meal.

We have to remember that we are now a super club, on our way to being part of the European Footballing Elite. We are being ran as such. There is now a strategy in place.

We'll announce the new sponsor, launch the new kit in the coming weeks ahead of the transfer window opening. Then the new signings will be paraded in the early weeks of the window ahead of the US tour.

2 reasons why they'll want the new boys in early.
    1 - USA publicity
    2 - Squad integration

There is no news coming out of the club other than the official party line. No scandals, insider 'sources' leaking to the press & more importantly no bad characters, party boys or big time Charlies in the squad to cause embarrassment or sensational stories or scandal.

The media had to try and make a story out of Gordon being subbed off and his obvious anger at himself for a string of poor performances due to Everton players not being as fit as us and him being off the pace.

So we'll not get any info or true insight into signing before the ink is drying on the contract.

Same as Botman & Bruno. It'll literally be the day they fly in to Sign the contract.

It's a different kind of frustration. It's kid a Christmas frustration rather than hoping one of the Glasgow Rangers man men murders Mike Ashley in the street frustration

The 2023 summer window will open for business on June 14 and runs until September 1, but June 30 is another key date — Premier League rules dictate that is when player contracts ending this summer expire.
