Again, thanks for clearing that up.

    Stop digging mate.
McLeosh was well enough paid as the First Minster without having to sublet his office.
He paid for this with his resignation as FM.

The trail went cold after Fife Council destroyed the documents, the £40k was never traced and I'm guessing the only cash they could trace back to him was the £3k he received in rent from the fake company, why he was never prosecuted? **** knows maybe they thought his resigning in shame was suffice. When he finally admitted the 5 companies involved did he think no one would find out about the bogus 6th company?

    Ffs Columbo.

If you think a crime has been committed I suggest you contact the police with any evidence you have.

If not, best to drop this as you’re looking increasingly silly.

He admitted it and resigned, he even offered to pay it back (although he never did) I'll take that as proof although he could have been lying I suppose. " A muddle not a fiddle" were his words.

That confession to 5 companies knowing fine well there was a dodgy 6th company was a bit daft.

To go back to Mrs Murrell. Is it standard practice to caution someone if they are questioned during an investigation to determine if a crime has been committed.
I am not defending Mrs Murrell but witnesses probably need to give evidence under oath, a witness for the prosecution side would not be "arrested" at the initial enquiry stage. When does helping police with their enquiries turn into arrested?

When you get formally detained and are cautioned that anything you say can be used in evidence.
