The declaration was ''off piste'' to say the least! If we win,it will have worked,if we lose it was a mistake. My issue with it is that if it was meant to send out a message over 5 tests and 6 weeks of cricket then that is futile. Do you really think that it has 'spooked' the Aussies that much? It's impact has paled into insignificance already other than if we lose then another 50 odd runs may have made the difference. The declaration was a vanity project for Stokes!
