They have bought shares Nudge, which can be re-sold. The money is not written off.

Will Lee. Conway and Hung "turn up" ? They have "poured in" £2.27 million worth of bought shares this past year compared to Parekh's £2.18 million. What do you think is their motive for doing that ?

    Yep - of course.
Gets in the starting lineup at Bristol.
He’s also originally from that area.
Free agent so it’s clearly his decision to move back there.

IMO it’s very bad news for Barnsley as he was the only player we had that can beat defenders and had the ability to change a game.
Duff didn’t play him because Duff always played safe.
But that situation could have been totally different when the new coach started.
We have lost a good player that cost us about £1 million to bring in.
It’s going to be difficult to replace him.

Not sure what the problem is with Thomas going there , he played for them before & knows the club , he has had 4 seasons with us & not exactly set the world on fire although he was very unlucky getting a serious injury but to me he has never kicked on from the early promise he showed & considering the fee we paid for him I think he has been a let down & I for one wish him well but I am not upset about him going .

I agree with Shadrack in that we didn't get enough out of Thomas in those 4 years for various reasons so the move away was inevitable. However, with the impending departure of our other midfielders, we should've kept him imo because he is a good footballer who can win a game. Bristol Rovers will reap the benefit no doubt. Good luck to Luke

The continuous commentary of pending doom and gloom last January didn’t happen.
Everyone and the kitchen sink was going to be sold - it didn’t happen.
When in reality the reverse happened and it was another good transfer window.

And now we have yet another drip drip drip of tales of woe.
The club is in good hands - in the best position in my lifetime.

Yes because the Chien Gang went off script.
They distanced themselves from James Cryne.
Whoever is in charge at the club has to have a good working relationship with James Cryne.
    JAQ and Neerav realise this.

I’m not bothered who is in charge at the club as long as they have money behind them to invest and are willing to work with James on the blueprint for the club - which obviously includes playing style and recruitment.
If Chien Lee along with Paul Conway come back onboard to do that then that would be great news. Although I can’t see it happening as the damage done with the Crynes would take a great deal of mending.

    Overview.
We are in a much better place to be successful than this time last season.

The club from top to bottom was in total disarray this time last season.
Since then the boardroom has been sorted - which is the most important thing.

Duff has come in and put the team back on track.
Two ways of looking at that.
Thanks to previous work within the club the playing style and players were already in place - Duff just needed to refocus the team.
IMO he should have been able to get promoted with the players at his disposal.
He failed IMO because he was too cautious.

We scored 80 goals last season. 4th best in the league behind S Weds 81, Plymouth 82 and Ipswich 101.

Also we got 26 wins. Again, 4th best in the league.

I don't get how that is cautious.

As for the 'He should've been able to get promoted with the players at his disposal' comment, i absolutely disagree. We spent the bare minimum on players, we patched the squad up with loan players and budget wise we had the 12th best or worst budget in the division- Khaled has officially confirmed that too.

Duff worked wonders with the hand that he was dealt which is why most Barnsley fans are gutted to see him leave.

The next head coach has top weight on for us to challenge the top 6 if things go to script this summer and our best players depart.
