I wish him much success in the future.
    Couldn't agree more. Top bloke.

Sad that someone laughs at someone who could have been possibly sacked and on top of that was a great servant to our club regardless of what you think of his performance at Notts, very sad.

He certainly began the positive changes at Meadow Lane in more ways than one under the current owners.

Will always have a lot of time for Ardley, a true gentleman and could have within his rights left us at our darkest hour. Whilst he didn't get us back into the EFL, he did not disgrace himself, remember that first season down there, the squad was put together with about 3 days to go before the season, the pitch was patched up from the season before and cut short due to COVID. The last season had basically no fans for pretty much the entire season, he never really had a full season without mayhem happening but as you say, he was the start of the change at the club. The respectfulness was restored under him, our brand and identity was rebuilt. He may have his failings as a manager, but the one thing he should get from all Notts fans is respect for what he did as a whole for this club

I feel he gets the respect from the vast vast majority of Notts supporters, especially with the benefit of hindsight.

There are always going to be some disrespectful clowns who blame him for X, Y, Z and relegation of course and focus a little too much on him once he's left and moved on but that's football, that's football fans, that's football fan messageboards#viva

His first major change was to take us into the National League.

Oops, I forgot. That happened because Alan Hardy flashed his dick.

Relegation followed by the worst PPG of the three 5th tier Notts managers, leaves his latest club having finished 15th in tier 5, gaining a reputation for bottling play off finals beforehand. I hope his next job is kit man at Dulwich Hamlet.
One or two Solihull fans seem to think he's about to walk into a FL job however. Not many posts about his departure on their board, as they have so few fans, but when I looked there was only one who was reasonably pleased to see the back of him.

There were rumours that Hardy was meddling in team matters, the changing room was toxic and no one was getting paid, but it was all Ardley's fault right? Pep or even LW wouldn't have saved us from the drop that season

That was neither positive , not under the current owners but . Although highly embarrassing for our former owner and the final nail in the NCFC circus at the time personally i'd never blame #bathgate its everything else that season from an egomaniac spinning out of control.

That's complete and utter bollox. Any vaguely competent manager would have kept us up.

All they had to do was better Macclesfield (in a much worst state than us) FFS.
