Pass - I think yer right.
Other clubs have looked at Barnsley and thought ‘they will accept owt at that club because the owners are skint’.
    And they haven’t been wrong.

    But things have changed.
Many of us thought it had changed when Chien Lee got hold of the club.
That we could resist cheap offers for our players - but not only did that not happen - that gang went out to actually sell the players.

I don’t think this is the case with the present leadership.
In Neerav we have an owner that no one has yet worked out - and that includes people from other clubs looking at our players.
It’s currently very interesting what’s been said at Millwall re: Stiles.
    Some disgruntled comments there.
They thought they could get him for peanuts and it’s not happening.

I know I keep harking back to the supporters meeting last season - basically because up untill now it’s the only time I’ve met Neerav.
But he did say more than once at that meeting that no player will leave from now on unless the offer meets the club’s valuation - and if that means his contract will be run down then so be it.

It’s a new ball game at Barnsley.
Even through all the turmoil at the start of last season the new leadership still managed to give us a flavour of it.
IMO - Barnsley did brilliantly well last season when considering everything that had happened during the previous season.
We should have been nowhere near the top 6 last season.

Duff leaving has knocked the wind out of the sails again.
But I for one am looking forward to this coming season.

Apart from one freak Covid season played behind closed doors our record over the last twenty years shows that we struggle in the Championship and do well in the much lower quality Third Division. Even under Conway we achieved instant automatic promotion from the Third Division.
I think you may be overestimating the role of the new Board. After handing Long Haul Mick a collection of free transfers and loans they rode on his coat tails all season.

I will predict we will win more games than we lose in the coming Third Division season whoever is Chairman or Head Coach.

We have no official information on this "transfer".

All we have is a random valuation from a post on BBS from a tweet on Twitter. We do not even know if the transfer has been agreed let alone inside information on the fee. Is it £3 mill up front or is it phased ? Is it half now and half if Luton stay up ? Is there a sell on clause ?
We all know things will be "undisclosed" anyway.

There is little point in lauding Parekh's skills in the transfer market without any knowledge of the facts.
