I'm not suggesting he's been banished Dave, like you say, he's likely training somewhere else and the arrangement suits both him and the club.

Based upon our style of play last season, it is hard to see a role for him. But will we be able to play the same style? Will we be able to dominate the ball match after match.

One of the oft stated criticisms of SD was that he had no Plan B if it was not going to plan.

Will VK have a Plan B? Could Weghorst feature in such a Plan B?

It is strange, though, that he disappeared completely off the radar.

What does "has he taken his ball home?" mean? A full blown Dutch international recently plying his trade for Manchester United, probably worth upwards of £10 million, not seen at Gawthorpe for over a year, it sounded perfectly reasonable to me to respectfully suggest he's one rotten apple that VK does not want dropping into the Clarets' squad barrel.
I hope we get our ball back.

Do you not think he could replace Barnes, dropping deep and laying the ball off. Watching him at United that was the role he seemed to be playing, but it didn't really suit their style of play. I think he could fit in perfectly with the way we play, but I doubt we'll ever know, we're surely going to cash in on him.

I'd be much happier playing Weghorst rather than Foster and comparing SD with VK is like trying to compare chalk and cheese, they really are two totally different disciples of the beautiful game.

It is clear and obvious Weghorst and Burnley Football Club will be going on different journeys pretty soon.

So far VK has not had to resort to "Plan B" S_c, it will be interesting to see how this season goes especially when the chips are down.

I would like it very much if VK would just clear Weggy off our books and buy Nathan Tella with the funds.

I agree with you S_c, it is really strange that Weghorst has disappeared completely off the radar. Where is Weggy?

I don't think there will be a Plan B, we will play the way Viini wants us to play and it will either win us games or it won't. Some teams will be better than us, we'll just have to live with that. I've seen City lose games but I've never seen Pep change the way they play, Vinni won't either.

Honestly mon ami I can't wait for the new season to kick off, I'm dying to see how VK will set us up. Rumour has it that Foster is going out on loan. I find that one hard to imagine but I find it equally hard to imagine Foster playing in the EPL.

One thing we can both agree on, Foster is nowhere near a PL player.
