Take your point about the number of contributors, though maybe that’s another reason for having an additional mod...breath of fresh air etc, might have some ideas about attracting new posters. Welcome addition though he is I think the only addition over the last twelve months or so has been Sith.

The ‘holiday cover’ is obviously another good reason but, to be clear, there is no ‘crusade’ on my part. Again, although I didn’t bring this up...I do think we need a second mod...I do think MA is the obvious choice (not because we often agree, but because he’s respected, objective and consistent)...I do think repeatedly saying that admin can’t be contacted is a poor excuse...but it’s all so far down my list of priorities that I really don’t care.

My offer was made as AF was "offline" for a while and unable to perform mod duties and I thought it sensible to ensure nobody rocked the boat.

So todays breaking news is that Chris Pincher has been recommended to be suspended from the Commons for serious ***ual misbehaviour, this was the MP and Part Whip which Johnson refused to deal with and as a result led to ministers resigning and Johnson being ousted as PM.

Difficult for the far right Tories and tame media to spin this as a lynch mob looking to attack Johnson but I'm guessing some will still try to!!

Also the subject of Johnson’s ‘Pincher by name...pincher by nature’ joke and a topic which had him simulating snoring and falling asleep when
Pincher’s behaviour, which both Johnson and our local MP were alleged to be present for, was brought up at an inquiry. Suggesting things are ‘boring’ when they’re not going your way seems a bit of a Tory ploy.

Looking at the things they do and how they react when found out, it's high time it was renamed the lavatory party.

Another Labour councillor jailed for perverting the course of justice. No out rage, party reaction etc.

How many is that now? I remember in 2021 a headline of 55 of them, jailed /suspended/arrested or under investigated.

Like I said, they are all liars and corrupt, in some way. Some get shouted about more than others though.

Daft as a brush, Tricky and unacceptable behaviour, I agree...but let’s keep a sense of perspective. She’s tried to dodge a speeding fine and she’s going to pay the consequences...it’s hardly on a par with some of the Tory grandee wrong-doing is it and doesn’t really make them (politicians) ‘all liars and corrupt’ does it?

You say that, but these are the ones caught.
    How far does it go?
You call it a speeding fine. It was simply that, had she paid it like everyone else.
The lengths her and her feller went to, to pervert the course of justice. Shows me, that she like all others should be banned for life from any office post again. She was jailed for it FFS. It isn't just a speeding fine is it?

Have you seen the SNP's rip off of the tax payer, after hijacking into the climate debate?
They weren't even supposed to be there.
So no, I stand by what I say. Most of them are corrupt, its just the scale that changes.
