Seem to have gone concerningly quiet.....

    On the Transfer Front...

Any potential links in the media seem to have gone very hush as well.

Getting a worrying feeling that were struggling to attract the players for the top-flight. (Again)

Interesting to see on the website that Weghorst is now included as a forward, whilst Twine is now a midfielder.

Perhaps VK is looking to model Pep with a defender like Beyer playing a Stones role supplementing midfield with Twine and others having more fluid roles. The old SD model of two in midfield taking on three isn’t the way forward. Even Weghorst showed at Man Ewe that he could drop back to support.

Perhaps we are not rushing to splash the cash on overpriced, average players, when what we have got may be sufficient.

Andros Townsend is reportedly training with us, perhaps he's just after a free holiday.

We have seven weeks left to sort it all out. Patience please?

We play City four weeks this Friday. We were given the impression it would all have been done and dusted by now, but we're nowhere near. It's starting to look like the wheels are coming off the Pace/Kompany bandwagon. Or if they're not coming off, they're certainly starting to wobble.

Right now we could kick-off with:
Muric, Roberts, Ekdal, Beyer, Taylor, Vitinho, Brownhill, Cork, Cullen, Zaroury and Weghorst with a very decent bench.
    Why worry, be happy.

I always thought Bolton were ten years ahead of us not three weeks behind. I am still feeling vaguely optimistic but that may well come to a shuddering halt on August 11th.

You will hear this one liner a 100 times over the next month Sir Outwood but the opening game against Manchester City will not define our season.

If we don't get our act together soon, it could make us red hot favourites for relegation.
