It will be down to the wire. Billy Sharp wanting 10 days to respond to us and the fact he hasn't announced signing for anyone else yet, makes me feel he's inbound. I might be jumping the gun, but like someone posted the other day, he's 38 next, but still as fit as a farm yard dog, and he's probably on his jollies with the family and has already made his mind up.

Coventry trek from Sheffield everyday for training 90+ miles or 10-15 miles to be at Rotherham, with, a very decent offer on the table?
We have a lot on our side to him signing up. Just show that ounce of patience, I too are thinking what is going on but, as they say sometimes patience is a virtue.
I’d be shocker if it’s only us or Coventry in for Billy. An hours drive from Sheffield you can get to 20 clubs

It depends on the offers, im sure Coventry will be offereing more money than us but depending what elses will be in the contract (fuel allownce, accommodation rent) or maybe family lifestyle in Sheffield is more important.

    He wont come here.

Let's assume Eaves isn't part of his plans, is he injured at the moment or what ?
It would be nice if JJ was given a chance, but will probably end up on loan again, which leaves us with Hugill and Kelly, I doubt there's 20 goals between them 2,so Billy would be good signing, but I reckon we would still need another striker, maybe some young Premier league starlet on loan.

JJ won't make it with us I'm certain on that. Don't want Sharp he's a blade his heart isn't here. We need 2 upwardly mobile forwards one to replace Chieo.

Don’t think Sharp is the answer. 38 games last season and only 2 goals. Sooner spend the cash on a younger player on the way up.

He might be a Blade but where did he start? He could have deep roots!

He injured his calf on the first day of pre season training! I kid you not.

Sharp is signing for a Lg1 club.

And yes we did offer him terms.

Neil Warnock at Huddersfield Town, said to be looking for a couple of strikers, with
Jordan Rhodes said to be leaving the Terriers.
A straight swop Eaves for Rhodes would be good, but will never happen.

Wonder how much to pay Eaves contract up, or ship him out to a league 1 or 2 club, sale or loan.

Eaves seems to have taken Joe Mattock's place on the treatment table.

I called Donny Rovers the other week, let's see if i'm right. Then again, Mark Hughes and Bradford City? Either way I based my findings on the fact it will be far easier for him in a slower league as his legs have gone for the Championship.

Apparently very generous terms so, whoever the league 1 club is they've turned his head somehow or, is it for the reasons I've stated?
