It's just that today a term I used to take the piss out of racists was construed as a racist post by someone else!

You mean in the way that you have just stated in your post that anyone that you ‘assume’ has a different opinion to you is a racist?

The words, arsehole, hate and destroyed are not healthy in any context never mind all in one post.

While the gammon reference pertains to the colour their skin would go when angry, it's more related to it going that colour because of their bigoted political views rather than them simply having white skin.

And you reinforce it by saying you take the piss out of them, and that’s the big difference with you, BFP etc, you can’t or won’t accept that someone could have a different opinion to you and that it is ok to have a different opinion and not wrong. The next step is to go into ‘mob’ mode and try to shout them down, or try to belittle or get angry.

And the above statement is exactly what you say, how I interpreted your post, but how I interpreted it is not necessarily correct! There’s so much misinterpreted on here, texts, WhatsApp as it’s just words and people interpret things how they want to see it, this place would be far better if there was more balance. I think it might surprise some but I think we all have more in common than we think!

Not in the slightest, I was merely explaining the context in which I use the term 'gammon', and I thought I explained it pretty clearly. I use it as an amusing term to mock bigotry rather than skin colour.

How you can turn that into "anyone who has different views to you is a racist" is beyond me. It's aimed at bigots, so if someone isn't bigoted it's not aimed at them.
